- Hi, I'm not a power user, but ather using Win95 for over a year now I
- think and probably know that there is no point in editing system .ini
- as long as the hardware in your computer is ok
- You can adjust everything you want from the controlpanel.
-
- Just for your information I'v been using Win95 and Dialup networking
- for a long time with my V.34 (28.8) modem and ZyXEL 2864I (64kb. ISDN)
- All my modem-comports are configured to 115.200bps and there is no
- problem downloading/uploading files with a good cps rate.
- (I can also download a file from my Com4/ (Win95 Qmodem host)
- to my Com3/ (Win 3.xx Qmodem) and get a cps rate at 3100)
- If I call a ISDN BBS I can down/upload files with a cps on app. 7000
- with (X.75) 64kb. linespeed. If I use my testfile I'm able to get a
- cps on 11000 and I'm still able to use one of my other comports and
- call another BBS og connect to my ISP witout any errors or other
- problems.
-
- I had 170 hours connection time to Internett in november and december
- with my ZyXEL 2864I and so fare NO comm errors or CRC errors or any
- other erros.
-
- This is a clip of my PPPLOG.TXT in Win95 :

- So...... my simple question are :
- Is all the problems with Win95 and communication a hardware or
- software problem???
-
-
- PS ! I'm not on Microsofts paylist :-)
- I just think that this program is solving a lot of Comm. problems.
